What interested you in employing people with developmental disabilities in your workforce?  Crickler Vending: We have a passion for people. We believe in people, and not just because of a person’s disabilities, but as a human being and as a person. Having disabilities does not stop someone from working. Rather, it enlightens their individual skills.

What has surprised you most about employing someone with a developmental disability?
Crickler Vending: Honestly, we have been surprised by the way people adapt, learn, comprehend and retain information and knowledge for the job.

What advice would you give to another employer considering employing people with developmental disabilities? 
Crickler Vending: Be patient, understanding and willing to teach and learn from people with developmental disabilities.

What difference has the employment of people with developmental disabilities made in your organization? 
Crickler Vending: Employing people with developmental disabilities has made a dramatic impact, in a positive manner. Our managers have learned and also assisted people to develop many skills. We have benefited from their dedication and commitment to their jobs.
