Research Foundation For Mental Hygiene, Inc.


The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene (RFMH) is a private, not-for-profit membership corporation that assists and enhances the research and training objectives of the New York State Department of Mental Hygiene (DMH) and its component agencies, including the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). RFMH directs the conduct of all sponsored research programs carried out by scientists at DMH institutes, including IBR. It also administers all federal and private grants and contracts at these institutes. Staff who are hired through these external funds are employees of the Foundation.
