Steven recently completed a year-long internship at Crickler Vending, and in September joined the Crickler team as an employee. Steven's job duties include cleaning and stocking the breakroom, helping with stock and collecting cardboard from bins around the warehouse and bringing it to the baler for compacting and recycling. Steven maneuvers the cardboard collection bins around the warehouse, breaks down the boxes and loads and operates the baling machine. He uses a task list to make sure he completes everything he’s assigned to do.
During his internship, Steven demonstrated his positive attitude and willingness to help out in other areas when needed. Says Laura Graham, Crickler’s Rochester General Manager, “Steven is a wonderful, talented and motivated young man. He was hired because he is independent, thorough and accurate with his work.”
Steven says he loves what he does at Crickler. He takes pride in keeping the break room and bathrooms clean for his coworkers. With cold and flu season here, Steven feels it is especially important to keep these spaces clean and sanitized.
Through his internship with Crickler Vending, Steven learned how to manage his time well and how to communicate effectively with his supervisor. Steven is now working to expand his hours at work beyond a four-hour shift.
