THOMAS’ FAVORITE OR MOST REWARDING PART ABOUT BEING A DSP: Tom likes being able to help make people’s lives better at Derby IRA. He loves being able to see them accomplish their goals, no matter how small. Tom also enjoys seeing people grow and become their own person.

ABOUT THOMAS: Tom’s supervisor says he is a fine example of a great DSP.  He is a great role model for attendance, work ethic and possesses wonderful communication skills with both the individuals that he serves, supervisors, clinicians and peers.  Tom’s perseverance is amazing and he is a great inspiration for other employees who want to be the best at their job duties.

“He is one of the staff that I have most enjoyed interacting with.  I take pleasure in the fact that he has taken what he has learned and applied it to his work daily.  He has taught me a thing or two as well,“ said Barbara Hynes DA 3.

Tom has had a very positive impact on the individuals that he serves.  He is the kind of guy that will say “we will find a way to make this work!”  He always encourages folks to reach for their goals, whether they be people who live at the site or the staff that work there, they are all the same to Tom, all deserving of respect and kindness.
