AMANDA’S FAVORITE OR MOST REWARDING PART ABOUT BEING A DSP: Amanda says what’s most rewarding about her job is the ability to see that the people she supports are happy and she is able to enhance the quality of their lives.

ABOUT AMANDA: In mid-2015 Amanda Callahan accepted a request to take over supervision on a temporary basis of a 12 bed IRA which provided 24 hour specialized LPN services.  Amanda did an exemplary job in this temporary assignment.

Amanda was faced with a number of challenges when she assumed the additional supervisory position, but was able to overcome or work around the obstacles to provide excellent leadership to the home for all of the individuals and staff.

Amanda has a calm demeanor regardless of the high emotions that may be expressed by others and deals with all situations in a very professional manner.  She has a strong work ethic and never quit attitude.

Amanda’s interactions with the individuals we serve showcase her caring positive personality.  It is clear that people see her as a supportive and easily approachable person.  They also see her as someone who can comfort, assist, listen, or take action as needed.
