SAM’S FAVORITE OR MOST REWARDING PART ABOUT BEING A DSP: That passion of providing care and other services for people with developmental disabilities considering them part of my own family by ensuring all basic needs are met such as assisting in making good and healthy choices, motivating and boosting self-esteem and elevating their confidence and feeling of belonging.

ABOUT SAM: Sam is what every DSA should strive to be: empathetic, hard-working, proactive, kind and loving to the people we serve, according to his supervisor.  He has an excellent relationship with his co-workers and the individuals he supports at SIDDSO/LEW-Bldg. 49.

Sam rarely misses a day, carries out his duties with a smile on his face and is the definition of a team player.

Sam advocates for the individuals he supports and ensures that they have the opportunity to maintain positive family relationships.
