DENNISE’S FAVORITE OR MOST REWARDING PART ABOUT BEING A DSP:

Dennise's favorite part about being a DSP is working with people and helping them to improve and enjoy their lives.

ABOUT DENNISE:

Calandra Flermius, Team Treatment Leader, says Dennise has a big heart and cares a great deal for the individuals she supports.

“Her dedication to the people we serve, and the job, is beyond description,” Flermius says. “She is able to reach over and across all shifts to best assist staff and management to provide care for the individuals.”

Another Team Treatment Leader, Tonya Flippin-Jackson, agrees saying Dennise is always at her best when making the people she supports happy and content in their surroundings.

“She ensures they experience a wide range of community activity and community life, and each individual has the opportunity to grow emotionally and confidently,” Flippin-Jackson says, “She is excellent in getting staff to do what needs to be done and she does this while remaining professional at all times.”

Dennise has taken charge on many occasions when the temporary relocation of individuals was necessary. She was successful in her organization of the moves, while also ensuring the safety of all.

Flermius explains, “She worked across shifts to ensure everyone had what was needed to sustain themselves and their comfort during what could be challenging times.”
