THE NOMINEE’S FAVORITE OR MOST REWARDING PART ABOUT BEING A DSP:

Ramona Reimondo says witnessing the growth of the people she works with is – for her – the most rewarding part of being a DSP.

ABOUT RAMONA:

Lisa Weisedel, Team Treatment Leader and Ramona’s supervisor says Ramona has had a “Find-a-Way-to-Say-Yes” attitude since accepting the DA I position at the home where she works.

“This attitude has proven to be exactly what the home needed in a supervisor,” she continues. “All the people living in the home have different goals and desires for their lives. Her desire is to help each one of them navigate their own paths to lead them to success.”

Ramona works well with everyone, Weisedel says. She provides choices and promotes independence, courage and motivation to each of the people she supports; she has a long history of supporting others to reach their goals.

“Ramona mentors DA I trainees and offers her organizational skills to other homes in need.”Weisedel says. “Anytime there is a need for additional support at the home, Ramona is always there.

“For example, each month Ramona asks each of the people in the home if they had any activity to choose for the month, what would it be. Then, she works alongside them to help it come true, always promoting independence and responsibility along the way.

“Ramona’s passion and dedication to the people and the home has allowed for tremendous growth, Weisedel concludes. “She is appreciated by the people she supports, staff and the entire team.”
