A Community Residence (CR) is a residential program that provides both supervised and supportive living environments.  Individuals living in a Supervised CR have staff immediately available on site 24/7 and include supplies for daily living, like food and toiletries.  Supervised CRs are designed to provide a home-like atmosphere where individuals with developmental disabilities can acquire the skills necessary to live as independently as possible.  In a Supportive CR, staff is on site only during certain times of the day and up to 20 hours per week.  The extent to which staffing supports are provided is based on the individuals’ needs.  Day services available at the facility may include day habilitationPrevocational services and supported employment services are not available at the facility; however, these services may also be available to those individuals who wish to become competitively employed.
