Overview
Providing High-Quality Supports and Services

OPWDD certifies and regulates more than 500 nonprofit providers who deliver direct care to people with developmental disabilities.

As a provider, your agency offers a wide variety of services and supports. OPWDD maintains a high standard for governance, fiscal and safety compliance practices.

2023-24 Funding Opportunities
OPWDD is offering three distinct initiatives that support providers and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the following areas: Incentivizing Community Transitions, Providing One-Time Bonuses for Staff Retention, Supporting Compliance Costs of Certain HCBS Settings Standards
2023-24 Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA)
Each service provider must submit a completed certification survey describing how their four percent cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) funding from the 2023/2024 NYS Budget will be or was used to promote the recruitment and retention of direct support professionals, clinical staff or to respond to other critical non-personal service costs.

Fiscal Reporting
The Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR) is required to be completed by service providers that receive funding from several state agencies including the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities. The CFR consists of schedules which, in different combinations, capture financial information for budgets, quarterly and/or mid-year claims, an annual cost report, and a final claim.
